Art founded his law firm, Gharibian Law, APC, on the principle of #RespectYourElders, with the goal of protecting the rights of vulnerable, elderly and dependent adults, which are constantly subjected to abuse and neglect. His dedicated legal team therefore focuses on litigation against nursing homes and assisted living facilities for elder abuse/neglect and wrongful death, taking on tough cases to bring some comfort to victims and their families during some of the most stressful times of their lives.
Prior to founding Gharibian Law, APC, Art served as a staff attorney with the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. He later moved on as an associate attorney with a national, full-service defense firm with the largest Long-Term Care & Elder Law department in the Western United States. His background and extensive experience defending healthcare providers provides him with the unique skill and knowledge to prosecute claims for violations of elder abuse/neglect, and wrongful death. He brings a fresh and highly effective perspective and approach to every case.
Over the course of his legal career, Art has already earned a reputation as a dedicated client advocate and skilled attorney. He has been selected by Super Lawyers as a 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 Rising Star for being a top-rated elder law attorney in Los Angeles. Art was also selected to the “Southern California Rising Stars Up-and-Coming 100” list in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2022.
Art is a member of a number of organizations, including California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform (CANHR), an advocacy organization and has been dedicated to improving the choices, care and quality of life for California’s long-term care consumers since 1983.
Art is a Los Angeles native, father of three boys, and proud of his Armenian heritage which is the foundation of his remarkable sensitivity to all people in an increasingly multicultural society.
