Moran & Brodrick is a law firm established in 1975 with an office in Garden City, NY. At this office location, there is 1 lawyer practicing civil litigation, trial practice, appellate practice and 4 other areas of law.
After reading some of his reviews, I felt some reviews to be a seriously at odds with my experience in dealing with this firm. After a long, painful divorce which included a trial after a 25 year marriage. I found Mr. Brodrick to be an experienced, thoughtful and caring attorney. Preparation before trial was concise and well thought out. The experience that this man has in dealing with both the courts and people is obvious. The recommendation came to me by a federal judge friend- I'm grateful!
Mr Brodrick was my lawyer for a 2 year child custody case and worked with me very well. He knows what he’s doing and is a professional! I had a hard case with complications and in the end i received sole custody of my child. I definitely recommend him! I am glad that I chose him for my case!
The man came to court completely unprepared twice. The Family Court magistrate rescheduled each time. He still billed me. He is 93 years old and seems to be suffering from some type of disorder. He looked like a deer in the road blinded by headlights when the Magistrate asked him 3 times why I wasn’t working. I answered and he allowed the Magistate to have me removed from the room. He could have easily asked me why I wasn’t working and that would have resolved the tension. The money I spent on him was a complete waste. By suggestion to anyone considering hiring him is run! Find another lawyer that can come prepared to court and is capable of defending your case when put under pressure!
Terrible. Old guy, needs to retire. He frequently spoke with other side regarding settlement issues without even discussing it with me/his client first. He cannot perform in Trial, he simply cannot argue effectively, its a disaster. He is way out of his league and you will not get your moneys worth with him. He is ineffective and doesn't care one bit about what his client says/feels. He has been a terrible experience on top of an already terrible ordeal. Beware, read the reviews here!!
Worked with Brodrick for a while- nice guy in a grandpa role- BUT really should retire; unable to keep up with today's large law firms and tactics; he prepares 1-2 days before a huge trial, he's hearing imparied bc of his age (sits looking at his papers unaware magistrate is speaking to him); accepts respondent's information at face value and does not question the authencity of documents which ended up being altered/fake. Needs to retire at this point. Billing is unfair. Would not recommend.
This attorney is completely ineffective, unprofessional and, in my opinion, his actions bordered on malpractice. He is inept and uncooperative and appears to only be concerned with billable hours.
