Cheryl was an attorney on my divorce and did a phenomenal job. She was not only an expert in all the legal intricacies of the divorce/custody case (which as a former attorney, i appreciated), she was also very commercial in her approach. I find that lawyers can create issues and drag on cases (for obvious reasons). Not Cheryl. She was able to remain focused on the key issues and bring them to resolution in an expedient way. I also found Cheryl to be extremely accessible.

Ms. Cheryl Mallis was my son‘s court appointed attorney for over three years. At first she took care of the case professionally. She listened to my son and in the beginning she knew the facts. After I filed a violation against my child father Ms. Mallis told my ex-husband he needs to start putting our son first And put his big boy pants on. The violation was not just because he wasn’t showing up for visitations he took my son‘s bedroom out of his house and treated our child like he was a toy he can have when it’s ok for him. Yet me as the mother for over three years has been trying to get the father to see his son and yet Ms. Mallis knows this and had the audacity in court to say that I am keeping him from his father!!! To hear this was disgusting because I have all the messages and all the facts pertaining to giving my ex-husband extra time which he never takes and I have been the only parent to help my son feel more comfortable seeing his father. It’s time for Ms. Mallis to retire.

Wouldn't hire this lawyer under any circumstances. Avoid at all costs. No integrity, no soul, not smart.

It's hard to put into words how disgusted I am with this lawyer. She is the court appointed AFC for my child. When a false allegation was made against me, she rushed to judgement without first speaking to me or making any effort to establish the real facts. When the facts began to reveal themselves she refused to change her position in order to save face. She acted more like the lawyer for my ex than for my son. She completely failed to protect my son's interests, advocating for him to live with a known drug addict with a violent record and CPS indication, and advocating for him to be completely removed from his mother even though I have a clean record. She lied over and over in court to cover up her mistake and has never once acknowledged her failing. She is despicable. Dishonest, completely lacking in judgement and completely devoid of ethics. She literally ruined my son's life and mine, and destroyed an innocent, happy and well functioning family unit.
