Kurt A. Gonzalez, a native Galvestonian, was licensed in 2014 and associated with the Firm in 2019. Mr. Gonzalez received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in Public Administration and a minor in Philosophy from the University of St. Thomas in Houston. He attended law school at South Texas College of Law where he participated in the Pro Bono Honors Program. It was through this program where he found an internship at the Resource and Crisis Center (RCC) of Galveston County located on the Island.
After law school, Mr. Gonzalez began his legal career working as a solo practitioner on the Island. He then found himself returning to RCC as their Director of Legal Services representing victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Since joining the firm, Mr. Gonzalez’ practice has focused on general civil litigation including construction law and insurance defense. He has been active in the Galveston County Bar Association (GCBA) for many years, including service as President of the Young Lawyers Section and later as President of the GCBA from 2023 to 2024. He is also a music enthusiast who enjoys collecting albums and occasionally playing the guitar and drums.
