Clay Martin is a sixth-generation Floridian, growing up a stone’s throw away from the thriving university community of Gainesville, Florida. This experience taught him a deep appreciation for the local and international interdependencies of cultures, economies, markets, and people that are necessary in the twenty-first century. Clay holds degrees from the University of Florida’s Colleges of Agriculture and Law. His twenty-year career in law, politics, and public policy has allowed him to see the connection between economic opportunity, individual prosperity, and financial independence.
Clay has also served as a policy advisor to elected officials at the statewide and federal levels focusing on private sector job creation, trade, and investment.
Clay’s public service has allowed him a unique perspective in his chosen profession as a lawyer. As a legal advisor to both large and small businesses that create jobs, he observed the impact of a prosperous new business on a community. Watching an entrepreneur thrive after helping that person develop a viable business model and assemble a team of advisors is one of the most rewarding experiences in his professional life.
In addition to business formation law, Clay’s practice areas with Folds & Walker focus on matters related to real estate and business transactions, contracts, and government affairs at all levels of government.
