Amanda was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida. She is the daughter of Bill and Ginny Allen, Allen Law Firm’s founding members. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology.
During her undergraduate career, Amanda was a member of the USF Honors College and was a recipient of the King O’Neal Scholar Award, an award presented to students completing their undergraduate coursework with a 4.0 GPA. She was also very active in Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ).
After graduation, she pursued a one-year internship with Cru before beginning law school at the University of Florida Levin College of Law. She married her husband, Charlie, after her first year of law school and transferred to Mississippi College School of Law where she graduated summa cum laude.
During her time at MC Law, Amanda completed a Certificate in Health Law, won second place in a national law student writing competition, and was the recipient of three Book Awards in First Amendment Law, Civil Rights Law, and Race and the Law. Amanda is licensed to practice in all Florida courts and the United States District Court for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida. She and her husband, Charlie, have two children – a daughter named Brice and a son named Will. Amanda and Charlie enjoy spending time with their kids and are active members in their church and community.
