I retained Mr. Lewicky for an arbitration case against a contractor I hired to repair work from a fallen tree. Mr. Lewicky provided excellent counsel. He was extremely knowledgeable and thorough putting together my case, aligning the facts to present a clear timeline of events with supporting evidence. Due to COVID-19 the hearing was via zoom which presented some challenges, Mr. Lewicky’s firm made sure the information for my case was provided to all parties in time for the hearing. Arbitration is daunting process and can be difficult to win. Mr. Lewicky fought hard on my behalf wining me a decent award. He also made sure the award document contained language that allow me to collect part of the award through the Maryland Home Improvement Commission (MHIC). That option became very useful. The contractor still tried to delay payment of the award, however the MHIC involvement along with continued push from this firm helped get the contractor to pay the full award with interest.
I worked with Mr. Lewicky to review some contract agreements before signing them. Mr. Lewicky was very knowledgeable, offered different approaches to handle my legal situation, and explained things in a way I could understand.
