Donald Discepolo’s path to becoming a trial lawyer started in New Jersey, where he grew up, and continued in Maryland when he arrived in 1990 to study at the University of Maryland. After earning his B.A. in 1994, he planted roots in Howard County and has lived there since, now in West Friendship with his wife and three children. Over the years, Don has handled thousands of matters in state and federal courts across Maryland and more than a dozen other states. His experience includes hundreds of car accident cases and extensive trial work that has helped him tackle higher-stakes, more complex litigation. Don has also become one of the country’s most experienced attorneys in carbon monoxide cases, with settlements and verdicts surpassing $70 million. In national products liability litigation, he has secured more than $20 million in results. In medical malpractice, he has recovered over $10 million, beginning with a case others turned away that he settled for $3.5 million. Don earned his J.D. in 1997, clerked for Judge Louis A. Becker, and holds broad federal court admissions. Outside the courtroom, he’s even made uncredited appearances in House of Cards, VEEP, and a feature film.
