About Kylie Corson Peebles

Kylie Peebles joined McCathern in 2020 as an associate attorney working with the firm’s family law and criminal law practices. Kylie brings valuable experience working with clients on a variety of criminal defense and family law matters to the firm’s office at The Star in Frisco. Her guiding principle is to always work with compassion and integrity as she finds the best solution and outcome to each client’s unique case.

In recognition of her work, Kylie was named to the prestigious Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch list for Family Law in 2023 and 2024 and for Family Law - Arbitration and Mediation in 2024. She was also named to D Magazine’s Best Lawyers Under 40 for Family Law in 2024.

Prior to McCathern Kylie worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Denton County from 2017 to 2019. While there, she prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases and served as the lead prosecutor or second chair on nearly 50 jury trials. She spent nearly a year with the DA’s office prosecuting family violence cases, gaining extensive insight into the nuances of these sensitive matters and the particular needs of these types of clients. Following her work as an assistant DA, Kylie was an associate attorney at a Frisco, Texas law firm, where she gained additional experience representing clients in divorce, child custody, termination, adoption, and other family law proceedings.

Kylie graduated cum laude from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2017, concentrating in Criminal Law & Innocence. While in law school, she was Vice President of Student Organizations in the student bar association and Director of Judges for the Board of Barristers. Kylie interned with Judge Phil Sorrels of Tarrant County Criminal Court no. 10 in 2015. In 2016 she interned with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and was a student attorney for the Caprock Regional Public Defender’s Office for Capital Cases, representing clients charged with felony and misdemeanor criminal cases.

Kylie earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Texas Christian University in 2014, minoring in Spanish and Criminal Justice. While at TCU, she spent five months studying abroad in Seville, Spain attending the university there and immersing herself in the culture and language. In 2013, Kylie interned with Judge Jamie Cummings of Tarrant County Criminal Court no. 5.

Kylie grew up on the beaches of Florida, but is now proudly a resident of North Texas. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Collin County Bar Association, the Collin County Young Lawyers Association, and the Junior League of Collin County. When not practicing law, Kylie enjoys spending time with her husband and golden retrievers Luna and Katie, working out, and exploring the outdoors.
