About Jeffrey Tyson Hammerschmidt

Jeffrey T. Hammerschmidt is a Fresno County criminal defense attorney who represents men and women in criminal matters in state and federal courts. For more than 12 years Mr. Hammerschmidt worked as a Deputy District Attorney for the County of Fresno, where he served as President of the Fresno County Prosecutors Association. He also served as senior legal advisor to the Fresno Police Department, an agency of more than 800 officers, where he advised the Chief of Police's executive staff on various legal issues. Mr. Hammerschmidt has a strong reputation in the Fresno community for his knowledge of the law. Primarily representing professionals including white collar, felony and misdemeanor DUI, workers’ compensation premium fraud, and federal and state drug cases. He has also been featured in prominent media publications and interviewed by Court TV for his role in prosecuting a high profile triple homicide case, People v. Dana Ewell. Mr. Hammerschmidt has appeared on American Justice, Court TV's Forensic Files; Court TV's Dominick Dunne's Power, Privilege, and Justice; and most recently he was featured on The Discovery Channel's Solved. Hired Attorney Jeffrey Tyson Hammerschmidt

We were referred to Jeff by our AAA insurance attorney for an injury accident with criminal charges. We contact Jeff and met with him to go over our case and right away we knew this was the lawyer for us. Jeff and his law firm team went to work on our case staying in contact with us by phone and email through the hole case. We were very impressed with work and effort that Jeff put into getting evidence to defend us. For appearances in court they worked schedules out the best they could around my work schedule reducing days off from work. At the end our case it was reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor and in our case this was a win. If I was to ever need a lawyer again or was to refer a lawyer to anyone Hammerschmidt Law Corporation would be the one. Sincerely Rick

Hired Attorney Jeffrey Tyson Hammerschmidt

Mr. Hammerschmidt was very understanding and treated me with respect and was always encouraging. He told me from the very beginning that he would do his very best for me and my case. He is an honorable man and a man of his word. If I was ever in a situation again and needed counsel I would definitely call Jeff. He worked my case like it was himself on trial and was able to get all of my charges reduced to misdemeanors. I owe alot to Jeff and his excellent work! If you are in need he is your man.

Hired Attorney Jeffrey Tyson Hammerschmidt

I was looking at 6 felonies with a strike on my record. I could have done some major time but Jeff spent his time in chambers and I was home in 7 mos. He is friendly and honest. He never hid anything from me and was forthcoming when it came to sentencing. I felt like I was talking to an old friend from day one. I would recommend him in a heartbeat.

Mr. Hammerschmidt is an outstanding attorney. I was charged with felony vandalism during 2009. Having never been in any type of trouble before, this was a very emotional and stressful time during my life. Mr. Hammerschmidt helped me through this difficult process.
