About Zoe Meigs

Fort Worth, Texas has been my home since I became a lawyer in 1986. Originally from Wisconsin, I moved to Texas in 1983 to attend the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, Texas. After graduation I moved to Fort Worth, worked in Dallas at a large firm, then in Fort Worth at a medium sized firm and then left the practice for six years to stay home full-time with my two daughters. I started back to full-time practice in 1999, and worked on a variety of cases. I chose to limit my practice to family law when I started my own solo practice in 2001. Since then I have enjoyed helping hundreds of clients through divorces, custody changes, child support modifications, paternity suits, name changes and adoptions.… Read more

I started back to full-time practice in 1999, and worked on a variety of cases. I chose to limit my practice to family law when I started my own solo practice in 2001. Since then I have enjoyed helping hundreds of clients through divorces, custody changes, child support modifications, paternity suits, name changes and adoptions. The fact is that I like what I do, and I do my job well. My clients tell me they appreciate the kind of lawyer I am, the service I provide to them and the way I provide that service. By limiting my practice to family law in the Tarrant County, Texas family law courts since 2001, I have gained a level of experience in these courts that is invaluable to my clients. You want your divorce lawyer or your custody lawyer or even your adoption lawyer to be a person who takes the time to listen to your concerns. You want a lawyer who knows how to address your concerns in court and who is honest enough to tell you when the legal process will not address your concerns. That's the service I provide to my clients. I hired Zoe to handle a child custody case, let me tell you she was awesome. I walked away having more parental rights than the biological parents. The money you will spend is well worth it. She really fights for her clients. I'm now able to change our child name into my last name without adoption. She rocks. Thanks again Zoe Read less

Both Zoe Meigs and her paralegal, Tisha Smith, are very compassionate, trusting, hard working individuals. During my case I constantly received updates and copies of anything that had been filed. I always felt that my case was top priority and that they were eager to help. Zoe is very calm, cool and collected. I was fully confident in Zoe when it came time to go to court. She won a potentially life changing case for my son and I. I highly recommend the law office of Zoe Meigs!!! Thanks Zoe!! Read less

The thing I liked most about Zoe was she valued that time was money and did not attempt to drag out my case or "pad the bill" by taking longer than necessary to complete tasks. I watched the opposing council do this and it was very frustrating. She was always honest about estimating what various strategies would cost and whether it was worth spending the money to go that direction. In my opinion, this is very honest and very ethical and a quality that not many lawyers have. Read less

This is the third time I have had to use a lawyer and the first time I was satisfied. Zoe and her office kept me up to date on all issues. Zoe did a good job of arguing my case in court.I would recommend her to any one needing these services.
