One of his prouder professional accomplishments was settling a massive clergy sexual abuse case in Oklahoma City wherein he obtained a highly confidential monetary settlement for five young girls. But, more importantly, Mr. Stephens forced the national church entity to make a litany of changes throughout the U.S. and Canada to protect children in its churches and to help ensure this kind of abuse never occurs again. Mr. Stephens has served as an Adjunct Professor for Advanced Trial Advocacy at Baylor Law School and has served as a speaker for various seminars. He is a member of American Association for Justice, a member and director for the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and he is a Past-President and current director of the Tarrant County Trial Lawyers Association. He also served as a former officer in the U.S. Army Reserves. Mr. Stephens is licensed in Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado, and he handles select catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases throughout the rest of the country.
