Brian did a mediated stipulation, but it is completely unworkable, and the Guardian Ad Litem (Mr. Michael D. Harmeyer) that he recommended has been a waste of time and money. The GAL has not done anything unless constantly bugged and pressured do so. 3 years with NO activity from Mr Harmeyer is hardly in the best interests of the minor children involved. I don't blame Brian, there were details of the agreement that he did not know would not work.
Mr Stier was the mediator for my Family Law Case. My attorney stated to the Judge that he (Mr. Stier) would not be his first choice and I soon found out why. Mr. Stier converted his entire practice to mediation only or primarily a few years ago. Mr. Stier is very rude and condescending. He also will report to know what will, or will not occur. at your trial with certainty in an effort to force you to settle at mediation or drop your concerns. Many times he would say "in 35 years...I have never seen a Judge..." even on simple matters. I have heard two other attorney's tell me that they would never use Mr. Stier based on how he treats litigants and attorney's. If you want to bring calm and reason to your case, Mr. Stier is not the mediator you want. If you want volatility and disrespect, then he is the right person for the job.
