About Robert P. Harris

Robert Harris has been practicing criminal defense in Fort Myers for two decades. Mr. Harris’s reputation in the community is a testament to his integrity and commitment to protecting his clients’ rights and best interests.

Robert became a member of the Florida Bar in 1996 and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida in 2000. He is a member of the Lee County Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association-Criminal Law Section, the American Bar Association-Litigation Section, the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is a founding member of the Fort Myers Chapter of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Robert was born and raised in Rochester, New York. He received his Bachelor of Science in Criminology at East Carolina University in North Carolina. He received his Juris Doctorate from Florida State University College of Law. He graduated law school magna cum laude.

Robert serves his community as an adjunct professor of Criminal Justice at Florida Southwestern College. He coaches the baseball teams of his three sons in the Cape Coral Cal Ripken Jr. League at Pelican Field in Cape Coral.
