About Mr. John Dawson Mills

As founder of the Law Office of John D. Mills, P.A., John D. Mills represents clients in Fort Myers, Lee County and Southwest Florida. He focuses his practice on divorce and family law, handling cases that involve the following matters: domestic violence, child custody, alimony, paternity, equitable distribution, modification, child support, restraining orders and high net worth divorce. In 1986, Mr. Mills graduated from Mercer University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance. He then attended Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law and earned a Juris Doctor in 1989. Mr. Mills is a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity.   After graduating from law school, Mr. Mills served as a prosecutor with the Lee County State Attorney's Office for a year before moving into private practice. This experience has given him an inside understanding of the judicial system and enables him to negotiate for the best possible solution on behalf of people accused of committing a crime. He knows the challenges that people face and helps them understand their rights and their options.   Divorce is an emotional experience for many people and Mr. Mills knows that the decisions made in a divorce settlement can have lasting effects. He is known for his compassion but is also an aggressive advocate in the courtroom to make sure clients receive the property and financial support they are entitled to by law. Mr. Mills is licensed to practice law in Florida and Georgia, and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Mr. Mills and his staff helped me in a difficult case and knew how to craft the communication on my behalf, resulting in very positive outcomes.

Mr. Mills and his staff are wonderful to work with. They handled a very difficult and emotional enforcement case perfectly and with an outcome in my favor. He set out the plan and timeline, making sure I was informed 100% of the way. He was very impressive in the proceedings! I highly recommend using his services.

This low life attorney uses his clients life stories to then make fictional books to sell. He gives them the wrong advise and causes war in the middle of divorces cases and isn't a "family-stable" person. He only cares about making monies, read his interview as to why he went on to become an attorney - "to acquire a trophy wife (beauty) -, seriously as ugly as he is inside and out" in court he is worthless. Not prepared, doesn't have the staff to do the suffice work, under paid and isn't never available for other attorneys much less his clients. He endangers the lives of small children with the "advise" he gives the parents. Divorce is hard enough as is and he adds to the fumes, he is exactly what the parental courses discuss. Attorneys that will make the matters worse not better, that will not work with their hearts and the well being of the child which is what is always looked at in the court system.

This lawyer is very lazy. He is an outstanding file clerk but nothing more! He is not prepared for trial and just says to take the high road on everything so that he doesn't have to do any work. This lawyer is much more interested in feeding his face that handling your case with professionalism. He will not fight for your rights in court. He will sit there mindless while you get raped of every right that you have. In criminal court be prepared to do time. In a divorce case be prepared to lose everything you have worked for. In a child custody case be prepared to bid farewell to your child and your rights to your child. This is a very BAD lawyer and should not even be in practice. He is a disgrace to the profession!

This lawyer is a very lazy lawyer, he charges a flat fee of 4,500 dollars, then wants to do as little as possible for the money...he will pump you full of fear so that you take what ever his friend the prosecuting attorney offers, so that he doesn't have to take it to trial....less time spent on the case more money in his pocket plain and simple. For his fee of 4,500 he only has to appear briefly in court two times and he had to go to one deposition. A total waste of money!!!!
