About Jeremiah Ambabo

Jeremiah Ambabo, a distinguished legal professional, brings a wealth of experience and a strong educational background to his practice. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Criminology, with a minor in Biological Anthropology, from the University of New Mexico in 2001. During his time at UNM, Jeremiah enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and also served as a coach for his former high school's Speech and Debate Team.

Following his undergraduate studies, Jeremiah continued to excel in his legal journey. He enrolled at California Western School of Law in San Diego in June of 2013. During his time at CWSL, Jeremiah demonstrated his dedication and skill by becoming a member of the school's Appellate Moot Court Competition Team, where he participated in three national-level competitions and earned recognition as an outstanding speaker. He also served as a student ambassador for the school and was a valuable member of California Western's Moot Court Honors Board. Jeremiah gained valuable experience through an internship with the San Diego County District Attorney's Office.

In his final semester, Jeremiah relocated to Southwest Florida to complete his studies while interning with Associates & Bruce L. Scheiner. He graduated from California Western with Honors in January 2016, a testament to his commitment to excellence.

Before embarking on his legal career, Jeremiah worked with the Probation and Parole Division of the New Mexico Corrections Department for nearly twelve years. As a Probation and Parole Officer, he supervised convicted felons, specializing in working with high-risk offenders and mental health/high-need offenders. His dedication and leadership earned him recognition as Supervisor of the Year, and he later became the Divisions' statewide Training Coordinator.

Jeremiah's legal journey continued as he joined Associates & Bruce L. Scheiner as an intern in the fall of 2015. He completed his studies at California Western School of Law while interning long-distance with the firm, showcasing his determination. Upon passing the Florida Bar Exam in April 2016, Jeremiah accepted a position as an Attorney with the firm, where he continues to provide exceptional legal services.

Jeremiah's personal background is rooted in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but he ventured to San Diego, California, after 35 years to pursue his legal education. Now residing in Southwest Florida, he enjoys exploring the area, discovering new outdoor venues and activities, fishing, swimming, and indulging in his passion for reading and films.

In addition to his academic and professional achievements, Jeremiah has earned recognition for his legal prowess and is a proud member of the Florida Bar, the American Bar Association, and the Lee County Bar Association. His dedication to the legal field and his community make him a valuable asset to the legal profession.
