I found Mr. Martin's number on the internet when searching for an attorney regarding a boat sale. He dove right in and discussed our case in depth. It was apparent to us that he was extremely knowledgeable and my wife and I were ready to hire him immediately but he pointed out that our contract required all motions be filed in a specific county. He told us it would be more cost-effective to take on an attorney in that county and generously recommended someone to us and even called ahead to explain our case to the other attorney who turned out to be just as generous and helpful. If you need someone in his area, we highly recommend Mr. Trey Martin.

I am an Australian citizen who was working as an engineer on a large luxury yacht when I was seriously injured by defective equipment on board the vessel. My injuries were permanent in nature. Fortunately, I found Jim Stroup and Farris “Trey” Martin. Jim and Trey presented my claim to the employer and insurance company and they were successful in settling my claim before a lawsuit was filed. If you were injured while working on board a vessel, I highly recommend you contact Stroup and Martin.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
