Just don't. First of all, peer review is the upmost important review, after signing the retainer I had a gut feeling about Mr. Garcia, it could have been his comment about his initial retainer request for 7 thousand, when he told me, "You have to give a lot of money to show that you are serious." I was able to bring the retainer down to 2 thousand but something didn't sit right about Mr. Garcia’s comment.... I reached out to several distinguished attorneys for a second opinion, they referred to Mr. Garcia as "Mikey the Paralegal," that Mickey got tired of being a Paralegal, thought he could make it as an attorney and changed his career at 40. This became clear when I received Mr. Garcia’s billing which included 13 hours dedicated to researching a two page Florida statue. My advice, get an attorney that fights for your best interests, that is knowledgeable on the subject matter, that includes you in all decisions, that requests your approval, and provides you with the relevant documents
