Lian is an associate in the firm’s Casualty Department where she focuses her practice on the areas of commercial premises liability, automobile litigation and general casualty matters in both state and federal courts.
Prior to joining Marshall Dennehey, Lian practiced first party property defense and has extensive experience defending insurance companies in catastrophic loss claims and has tried several cases to verdict.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Florida International University in 2010 and then earned her juris doctor at Michigan State University College of Law in 2014. During her law school career, she was a member of MSU Law’s Moot Court and Trial Advocacy Board and competed in several competitions including the Hunton Andrews Kurth Moot Court National Championship. She was also an associate editor on the Animal and Natural Resource Law Journal.
Lian is a Trinidad and Tobago native who enjoys playing classical piano music and attending theater and orchestra performances. She is also a dedicated world traveler with a goal to visit every continent.
