Jami L. Gursky is the Managing Partner in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale East office. She practices in the area of medical malpractice defense, premises liability, liquor liability defense, product liability, administrative actions, professional liability, vehicle negligence, pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, trucking accident defense, security negligence, mass tort litigation, catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases.
Ms. Gursky received her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University, where she graduated cum laude. She won the Highest Grade Award in Agency, Family Law and Medical Malpractice, was an Academic Student of the Year Nominee, held the Secretary position on both the Criminal Law Society and Sports and Entertainment Law Society, was the Associate Technical Editor for the Nova Law Review, and was a finalist in the negotiations competition for the American Trial Lawyers Association. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University, with majoring in Psychology major and a minor in Criminology.
Ms. Gursky is a Martindale-Hubbell AV-rated attorney. She is a member of the Florida Bar, Young Lawyers Division of the Miami-Dade Bar Association, and the Dade County Bar Association. In 2008, she was selected as one of the Legal Elite in the State of Florida by Florida Trend Magazine. Also, in 2008, Ms. Gursky was the recipient of the 'Put Something Back' Pro Bono Service Award, and in 2010, she was the recipient of a child advocacy award from Lawyers for Children of America.
Ms. Gursky has served as a pro bono attorney for children through the Attorney ad Litem Program and represented children who are abandoned, abused, or neglected and are not appointed legal representation because they are minors. She was also involved in Voices for Children, the charity that funds the Guardian ad Litem program which works with Lawyers for Children of America.
