I was going through a pretty simple divorce without trying to get the courts and lawyers involved because I had always heard lawyers are only interested in the money part of the process.But, my now ex-wife wanted to take me to court and try to get a large amount of money for alimony from me so, I contacted Melissa and she explained the entire process to me before any money was paid out. I work out of town about 11 months out of the year so our correspondence was 90% over the phone. But when I finally had the privilege to meet Melissa I quickly realized that she was a down to earth good Christian woman that was looking out for my best interest. When she found out that I was a combat veteran she Applied a Veterans discount to my final bill. Melissa was so persistent with my ex-wife’s Lawyer that they had no choice but to settle which saved me lot of money in the long run in alimony. I’m grateful that I hired Mrs. Gardner! I would certainly recommend her to anybody else!

Melissa is a fabulous attorney. Very aggressive and looks out for her clients best interest! She is intelligent, thorough and dependable. I would definitely recommend her for any type of law.

She is very expensive and you do not get what you pay for. My parents and I paid her $2500 to help us keep my great niece safe. We never had court for this case because Melissa allowed my niece to cancel everything even though we paid the money to her and not my niece. We got no money back even though she didn't do anything for us. However, there was a court date set in this matter but it was canceled and nobody informed us until we got to the court room and read it on the wall.

Do NOT hire this "attorney"! Check out all the many other reviews on other sites. She literally takes your money and does absolutely nothing. No court date, no communication, nothing at all! She is the biggest fraud and thief ever. There is even a website dedicated to just how much of a fraud and thief she is. If that doesn't tell you all you need to know, I don't know what else will. You have been warned.

Melissa L Gardner is a terrible lawyer, she does not work for her clients, she takes a $1500.00 retainer fee upfront. Your case is not a priority, she does not update you on your case by calling, or mail. I hired her in the summer of 2021 and I am still waiting on case to be resolved. Have not heard from her in several years. Please hire another attorney, not this lady !!!!

She does not return phone calls, after telling me that she would send me my money back because I did not want to use her and she did nothing, I have yet to see it. was told 2/3/09 that my money was sent its now 5/4/09 and nothing and she will not answer the phone and every time I go to her office she is not there.
