Eric James Mead

Eric Mead and his office completed a trust for my family. Took the time to list to what our concerns were and made recommendations to make sure our family was taken care of down the road. Would recommend him to anyone that needs estate planning

As guardian, he has violated state statues & ignored court orders. Refuses to communicate with family. Doesn't take or return our phone calls. Doesn't care for or protect assets. Immediately isolates his ward from family with no explanation as to why, has them removed from life as they knew it, placed in a facilty, & severely restricts visitation. Sets up framework that would allow embezzlement. Snubs his nose not only at the RULE OF LAW. but court system & Judge respectively. May be the most unethical, immoral, dishonest, untrustworthy corrupt individual I've ever met. Wouldn't hire him to give my dog a bath let alone decide what my parent is allowed or not allowed to do for the rest of their life. . I've made no claims here. I only wish to warn others so no family is feeling the torment or living the nightmare my family must endure.

All 5 prior reviews are 100% my experience as well.... Two of my mother’s autopay DTE bills were rejected, prompting my calls to Eric Mead. He is very hard to get a hold of. After 7 calls to reach him, he was extremely rude & unprofessional. He accused me of only calling his office "once” and cut me off with my questions. I asked him if I had done something to upset him. He told me, “Yes, you lied about calling my office.” I replied, “I have a call log, as does your office”. He said he was not going to argue with me and hung up on me! What does it even matter?! (Never did get an answer on her DTE energy bills….) To date, we have received ZERO accounting on my mother’s financials as well…. highly concerning. Evidently, when a Judge assigns him as financial conservator (of a senior citizen), he holds the proverbial "power" and welds it blatantly. Definitely following through on my options to address his inexcusable behavior! Would Never Recommend Eric Mead.

Very unprofessional. Did not act in the best interest of his clients. Nor did he put forth the effort required to effectively represent his clients.

Attorney Eric Meade was chosen to be my grandmother's Gaurdian. He literally has been unresponsive for 3 month's. After numerous phone calls and messages left to his office, he scheduled an appointment for a phone conversation that lasted a minute and a half. He disrespected my grandmother. She couldn't have been more together and polite. He simply did not like her questions. He promised her when she signed with him that 1) she would have team meetings 2) family members would be part of care and 3) she would be included in the planning and spending of care. He literally lied to her. He has not done anything for her. Don't sign with him for anything do with gaurdianships or probate law. He is very unprofessional!

Eric is hired to temp guardian and could careless if my mother has the right care and did not inform family of anything no matter what!He put in emergency letters of authority which my mother was not dead!He has been less then 2 months.Not informing family of take over of large account.Dishonest.Will harm you in anyway.He stole a high end dining room set from mothers house.This is not legal.I hope others will read this beware.

I concur with the other reviewer. Eric sent an extremely abusive email to me in response to me asking specific questions regarding my matter - questions which state statute and trust documents required him to answer, and he refused to do so and retaliated against us for asking. This is not the first time he has been abusive and refusing to respond to a client about basics of the matter and he refuses to return calls. We've been practicing law for a long time and have never encountered anyone who practices at this low and unprofessional level (and which likely violates state statutes and bar rules). I unequivically would not ever recommend him to anyone. In our estimation, he does not have the maturity, judgment, ethics or diligence to practice law.

He's very neglectful, mentally and emotionally abusive., narcissistic and untrustworthy and tricky. He takes family and rip them apart not allowing them contact each other. He puts the parent in a place where they cannot get any help or reach out to someone. Taste a perfectly sane and fully capable person and the makes them look and so they are incapacitated. The only thing that incapacitates them is a wheelchair. Then he takes their money and refuses to let them know what they have. He goes against the state law recipient rights and does not allow them any. In fact he takes their cell phone in contact to the outside world away. He punishes them by using their family against them. There is so much more but not enough space. He does not send court documents to the person who is trying to get their guardianship back instead he sends it to a family member so they are left on aware. He is an awful individual and needs to be stopped.
