I have hired Bellanca on two occasions and intend to do so again in the near future. I found comfort in that she had my back. I found her to be down to earth and easy to communicate with. She is very knowledgeable and experienced in her fields.
An aggressively negative judgment of me and my character was formed before my assigned council had ever met or spoke with me. I feel it affected her ability to effectively perform her role. When I attempted to address my concerns and hopefully resolve whatever the issue was, her response was that I should consider finding new council if I didn't feel she was properly representing me and the best interests of my family. That was probably the only actual advise I received, now that I think of it, other than to follow the judges orders after she failed to present details that would have resulted in orders I "could" follow (the safety of my child was at risk). It isn't a requirement that council "believe" their client, as Bellanca made sure to remind me, but when your council believes you're lying about abuse and neglect your children are suffering with... I'll just stop here with my review. My family should be my only focus right now and instead I have to find new representation.
