Hired Attorney Erwin Conrad

Conrad and Conrad was hired by the buyer of a home I had for sell in Gauley Bridge. He charged me part of closing cost-which led me to believe that he was acting as a neutral third party working on my behalf as well as the buyers. However that was not the case. At the end of the closing and after all documents were signed he gave me (seller) a post dated check and explained that it was required by Chase bank. I was a little disappointed that he waited until everything was signed and done before asking if we were.ok with a post dated check; Nevertheless we accepted the check and deposited it the same day with the understanding that the bank would put a 5 day hold on the check. However After the check was no longer on hold. the bank returned the check NSF for insufficient funds. That same day I notified Conrad office that the check he had given to us was returned NSF but he refused to make good on it. So now I’ve lost my property and money. Stay away from Conrad law firm!
