Natasha Barone knew she wanted to be a lawyer since she was a little girl. Today, she is a business and civil litigation attorney with Hutchens Law Firm at the firm’s Fayetteville location. After earning her undergraduate degree from the Pennsylvania State University, Natasha attended Wake Forest University’s School of Law. Upon graduating from law school in 2010, she joined the firm and initially worked in the area of creditor’s rights.
Natasha’s practice area shifted a few years ago to the areas of civil and business litigation. She says, “For a lot of people, litigation is a scary concept. My goal is to see that my clients understand and are comfortable with each part of the process. Before I take a case I do my best to make sure that my client understands what they are getting into and knows that I will be there for them each step of the way.”
She also practices in the areas of administrative law, landlord-tenant law, and appellate advocacy – an area she particularly enjoys. She says, “Handling an appeal takes a great deal of time, energy and research, but when you get a good result for a client, it is the greatest feeling. Not only are you helping your current client, but you also have the ability, in certain cases, to help shape or clarify the law, which is an extraordinary opportunity.”
In addition to her practice, Natasha is also involved in the Cumberland County Bar Association and the North Carolina Bar Association. Much of Natasha’s pro bono and Bar Association activity is focused on helping veterans and servicemembers. As a military spouse, Natasha knows firsthand how difficult things can be for soldiers and their families. Natasha is a previous co-chair of the North Carolina Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Division’s Military Issues Committee. In 2017, Natasha and fellow attorney Hutch Hutchens co-chaired the inaugural Fayetteville location for the North Carolina Bar Association’s 4ALL Day of Service with the hopes of reaching more servicemembers and their families.
