About Matthew Franklin Benson

Matthew Benson joined wh Law in 2019. Matthew is a native Arkansan, raised in Yell County. He graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and received his law degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law. Matthew began his legal career with the United States Department of Justice as a law clerk with the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas, helping to prosecute federal crimes. After completing his clerkship, he took a position with the Benton County Prosecutor’s Office as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, where he spent nearly every day in court. Matthew left the prosecutor’s office for private practice in 2016. He is licensed to practice law in Arkansas state courts. Matthew focuses his practice on domestic and criminal work. Matthew lives in Fayetteville with his wife, Maggie.

Hired Attorney

My husband and I have dealt with this man for a lawyer for 13 months, and I would never recommend him to anyone. Each and every day has been awful. He has continuously ignored our e-mails and our calls more times than I can count. We will e-mail 5 times before we receive a response. Then when we do receive a response, it will be half a sentence that doesn’t even address 90% of what we said. He repeatedly will say “I’ll get back to you by the end of the day” or “I’ll get back to you tomorrow morning,” but then he won’t say anything at all. We will call the receptionist 3 times before Matt bothers to say anything. We have even begged for him to please make us a priority, to please help us, begged to be treated like a client and not once has he been professional or made us feel like we had a lawyer who cared about us. Thousands of dollars for this type of unprofessional treatment, to feel helpless and worthless. This is our experience and I’m making this review just in case someone reads
