Jonathan ‘Jak’ Kocienda has been litigating and trying medical malpractice cases for the past 23 of his 27-year legal career in Connecticut and Massachusetts. He is currently manager and lead trial attorney of the Medical Malpractice Division of Claggett, Sykes & Garza, LLC, representing adults and child patients seriously and catastrophically injured by medical negligence. Jak previously made a name for himself as one of the leading medical malpractice attorneys in the state as a co-managing partner and trial attorney in a prestigious medical malpractice defense firm where he represented the interests of Connecticut’s health care providers and institutions. I can't recommend Jak highly enough. This was an extremely difficult and stressful time for me and Jak always prioritized my feelings first. He took time to understand my case, patiently answered all of my questions, and explained every step of the complex legal process in a way that was easy for me to understand. Jak oversaw 2 of my father's personal injury cases. He worked diligently throughout the entire process. He was extremely professional and communicative and always called to keep us up to date on where we were in the case process. He was able to win a big award for the first case and is still currently working on the second case.
