Over 30 years of experience in civil litigation, 25 years specializing in employment law and litigation. Mr. Morgan got his start on the management-side, advising employers regarding policy implementation, discipline and termination decisions, and defending them in lawsuits. In 1992, Mr. Morgan met and joined Don Gasiorek, Dave Kotzian, Pat McCauley and Paul Hines at a larger, multi-practice firm and expanded his practice to include representing executive-level employees with employment contracts and equity interests, employees with disability discrimination and sexual harassment claims, and compensation disputes. By 2007, when he co-founded the GMGMK firm, Mr. Morgan was regarded as one of the finest Plaintiff-side employment litigators in Michigan. Because he continues to counsel and advise several Detroit-area employers in their day-to-day workforce management issues, and serve as their defense counsel, Mr. Morgan is frequently hired to conduct independent investigations and to serve as a neutral mediator or arbitrator. Mr. Morgan was elected to serve on the Novi Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors in November 2010, and became Chairman of the Board in December 2014. Mr. Morgan was elected to serve on the State Bar of Michigan, Labor & Employment Law Section Council, November 2012 to present. In November 2013, Mr. Morgan was inducted as a Fellow in the prestigious College of Labor & Employment Lawyers.

Leave a review about your experience with this lawyer.Working with Sam Morgan for over 2 decades has been a professional pleasure and essential. Sam knows the ropes and his experience is substantial from contracts, litigation and even negotiations. Listens carefully to our problems and thoughts. Solutions are awesome and thoughtful. Always available inside and outside normal business hours. Rates and fees are reasonable too !
Sam Morgan was an excellent asset throughout the entire contract process. I was referred to him because of his extensive experience with reviewing, drafting and negotiating employment contracts, specifically complicated physician-health care system employment contracts. He knew answers to the questions that I had, raised issues that I would not have recognized, and helped me confidently navigate through the negotiations. I highly recommend Sam Morgan for legal counsel related to employment contracts.
I was referred to Sam via a friend of mine in the industry whom was also very happy with his work. Sam not only personally answered my call, but I had an appointment with him within 24 hours. My case work with Sam was a severance agreement that I needed some advice on - and he provided this quickly, and explained my options in detail. This advice that he passed on helped me to confidently negotiate a better severance agreement. His office and staff are of course also professional and courteous. I will be using him again in the near future with my next employment contract.
Sam was very easy to work with. He did an excellent job of explaining the entire process and walked me through each step of the way. He provided an honest expectation and did not give false hope for an unreachable outcome. He is very patient and really listened to what I had to say through the process.
