While this attorney is knowledgeable, she doesn’t have the heart of a teacher. This quality is essential when learning about trusts, power of attorney, and elder law for the first time during a stressful situation. Instead, she talks very fast and throws documents at you to sign with no explanation. Any question is met with referrals to friends of hers who happen to be appraisers, elder care coordinators, financial planners, etc. Is she getting a kickback from these friends? Tasks that were discussed at previous meetings never get accomplished.
Buyer beware. Do not hire this attorney for any estate planning. If you are a beneficiary, but not a Trustee of a familial estate being handled by this attorney, be prepared for any meetings and/or updates to your loved one's estate by either recording the meetings or insisting on getting a copy of the notes before you leave any meeting. Also get them signed and dated. Be extra diligent in making sure your loved one's wishes are adhered to verbatim. Otherwise, deflection and non-responsiveness will be all you get for your trouble and your loved one's wishes will go unheeded.
This lawyer is very unprofessional. She charged me thousands of dollars, but accomplished nothing. She should be disbarred. Only concerned with billable hours.
