Luis A. Perez earned his law degree with honors from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law and an LLM in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center. With over 30 years of experience, he focuses on domestic relations, juvenile law, criminal defense, and traffic litigation. Mr. Perez has been actively involved with the Virginia State Bar, Fairfax Bar, and the broader legal community throughout his career.
He has held numerous leadership positions, including Past Chair of the Virginia State Bar Diversity Conference, Past President of the Fairfax Bar Association, and Past Chair of the Conference of Local and Specialty Bar Associations. Mr. Perez continues to advocate for diversity and improved access to legal services for underserved communities. He currently serves as Vice-President of the Legal Services Corporation of Virginia and is a member of the Advisory Board for the Virginia Poverty Law Center.
Mr. Perez’s dedication has earned him several awards, including the James Keith Public Service Award, the Chief Justice Harry L. Carrico Pro Bono Award, and the Leader in the Law award. In 2022, he was recognized by Virginia Lawyer Magazine for his significant impact on the justice system as a Hispanic attorney.
