About John G. Jackson

A life long resident of Virginia, John Jackson received his undergraduate degree from Duke University in 1973 and his law degree in 1976 from William & Mary. He has served as an Elder of his church and helped create or advise the planned giving campaigns of various churches, schools and charities.

John and Carol, his wife for over 40 years, have three children: Matthew, a graduate of Duke University, now working in Berlin, Germany on software for music synthesizers; Katie, formerly a Peace Corps volunteer in Paraguay for three years, a graduate of Georgetown University Medical School, now a resident at the Duke Hospital; and Elizabeth, a graduate of Wake Forest, formerly a second grade charter school teacher in inner city, Washington, D.
