Foss, Kuiken, Cochran & Helling P.C. is a law firm established in 1979 with an office in Fairfield, IA. At this office location, there are 5 lawyers practicing personal injury, general trial practice, probate and 9 other areas of law.
All of the partners work very effectively in support of the others. As a consumer, this means that I can always get the answers I need even if my main contact is not available. The advice I have received has always been correct and communicated to me in a very timely manner.
Very friendly, used terms we could understand
Hired June 2025 for probate work my father's estate. Had an initial meeting where she would not allow my siblings to attend since they were not executor in will. Her staff put wrong name on the document to initiate probate. We were billed for review even though I found the glaring errors. first attempt Ronald, second attempt Donald, third attempt Roland and Donald mixed. Fourth attempt was correct name but by that time I had no faith in this firms work. I was billed for initial visit and calls, billed for the document that was never signed and wrong 3 times and the review that could not have happened. Just shy of $1000. I offered to pay $450 for the initial visit and calls. She declined this offer saying her staff did the work so had to be paid but as "a courtesy" she took off $100. She referred to the errors as Human mistake and typos. I refer to them as incompetence and unprofessional. My father deserved better. She communicated by email and never called to apologized.
