About Atty. Grant Thomas Moher

Mr. Moher has practiced law in the Commonwealth since 2001. He receives an AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell® Law Directory and is listed in Best Lawyers in America. He has also been listed for multiple years as a “Super Lawyer” in Virginia’s Super Lawyers magazine and has been recognized as a Top Lawyer in Northern Virginia Magazine.

He is an experienced trial lawyer who has litigated and/or negotiated resolutions in custody, support, and equitable distribution matters involving issues such as closely-held businesses, international child custody, child sexual abuse, imputation of income, and spousal battery. In addition to his traditional experience, Mr. Moher is also an active practitioner of collaborative law. He is a Past-President of the Collaborative Professionals of Northern Virginia (CPNV), and he is the Chair of the Virginia Collaborative Professionals (VaCP).

Mr. Moher graduated with honors from Allegheny College and received his Juris Doctor from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is a member of the Virginia and Wisconsin state bars and is a member of the Family Law Section of the Fairfax Bar Association. Mr. Moher was a recipient of the Fairfax Bar Association’s 2013 President’s Award for his dedication and outstanding service to the association.

Grant Moher and his firm has a solid background in addressing family law issues that pertain to military families. They are well positioned to help all service members, veterans, and their dependents. I found Grant Moher and his staff to be exceptional in their expertise, availability and respond quickly to my questions with kind and compassionate support. My case involves ongoing spousal support issues. Military divorces are very stressful events that involve overlapping military family law issues and Grant Moher and his team was incredibly helpful and seemed to have my best interest.

I initially contacted Grant during the early stages of my separation and divorce. Grant listened attentively to the facts and provided guidance where needed. This was my first legal experience and I had no idea what was going on or what to expect, but Grant was able to walk me through every step of the case from beginning to end. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a lawyer.

Mr. Moher is a lawyer listening to the client's voice. Once I have different opinion from his recommendation before we went to the judge. He still 100% supported me and both of us convinced the judge. The communications with him were short but very efficient. It really benefited my legal bill even he is a senior attorney and partner in his firm. I highly recommend Mr. Moher.
