Sara is a lawyer in Brewe Layman’s Seattle office. Throughout her practice she has focused on family law cases, specifically those with complex financial issues such as closely held businesses, executive deferred compensation plans, stock grants and options, and other valuation issues.
She also handles complicated parenting issues, including dealing with parents with substance abuse histories. Having assisted clients in a full range of property division, spousal maintenance and parenting plan issues, Sara combines strong client advocacy with a deep understanding of the legal issues in order to provide efficient, effective, family-focused resolutions. Sara was recognized by SuperLawyers magazine as a Rising Star in the area of family law.
Sara is a Washington native and began her legal career in the Seattle area at a boutique family-law practice. She primarily practices in King and Snohomish Counties. Sara is the mother of two children, one in high school and the other attending college at WWU. She enjoys gardening and cooking.
