Mr. Michael J Buseman

I retained Mike to assist my college age son who was arrested for DUI. Mike was very empathetic and able to connect with my son on a personal level. Mike went out of his way to ensure my son understood the process and when I requested additional support that was not included in our original estimate, Mike did not seek additional compensation. His commitment was to fully address the situation for the (reasonable) price agreed upon. Mike did right by us.

This is the worst experience I've ever had in my entire life hiring anybody. He constantly verbally abused me, threatened me, belittled; every word in the English language for someone who is nasty and condescending. I was stuck with him because I already paid him upfront way too much money and in beginning just dealt with it because I thought his aggressive nature would translate into fighting for me. But no, he basically forced me to do a diversion program when I got a DUI when I wasn't under the influence of anything and I had a very good case for getting it dismissed. My parents had just died though and I didn't have the energy to fight him. He never even once had any sympathy about my parents dieing, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. I really wished I would have read client reviews because some how this guy looks like he gets good reviews but they ones I was looking at were from other lawyers. Stay away from this man.

A terrible experience all around. He should be the last attorney to use in Eugene. Unless you want to deal with someone who is rude and condescending.

Michael is a fairly experienced lawer who has been around awhile and knows what he's doing. Usually that would be a good thing & a person would think the attorney might use their knowledge and connections to help them with their case. But, don't expect that from Michael. he's only looking out for himself and will throw you under the bus if it bennefits him. Do not hire him & if you're unlucky enough to get him as a public defender, fire him & request someone else. He's one of the lawyers in McKenzie defense Consortium which are public defenders hired by the Springfield Court. He is not working for you. He works for himself first & Springfield second. He'll only screw you over. I didn't think we had attorneys this crooked & corrupt in the Eugene/Springfield area. He's a perfect example of why people hate attorneys. Do not trust him, do not hire him, & do not allow him to represent you.
