Make sure you are the beneficiary of the policy and not an estate or trust. In Michigan, the policy proceeds would then pass to you and be exempt from attachment by creditors.

The will is still valid if it was signed by two witnesses. However, without a notary, you will need to provide an affidavit from one of the witnesses or take other steps to authenticate the signature.

Absolutely. What is the purpose? Is it for limitation of liability, if so there is a better way. If it is for distributing a certain piece of property to a certain person, this can be accomplished this way or there is a better way to do this.
