Are lawyers allowed to take over half of your inheritence money?

Answered by attorney Robert James Slotkin (Unclaimed Profile)
Estate Planning lawyer at Robert J. Slotkin
In Florida there is no inheritance tax. I don't know what work the lawyer did or how much is involved. However, probate courts have to right to review attorney fees and if the judge thinks it is too high, he can make the lawyer give some of it back. Lawyers may not charge an excessive fee- it's in our Bar rules.

How to choose health care agents in the event that I am incapacitated.

You have to choose people that you trust.  If you choose agents with shared authority, then each one has to agree and there could be a conflict.  Please contact me at sgarciavidal@garciavidallaw.com if you have more questions. Thanks.
