If I am applying for a home loan on my own, why are they asking me questions about my husband?

Answered by attorney Charles Richard Perry (Unclaimed Profile)
Estate Planning lawyer at Charles R. Perry
You would need to ask the lender to be sure, but any debt acquired during the marriage is considered a community debt. You and your husband are equally liable for that debt, even though you are listed as the sole debtor. The questions regarding him therefore are relevant to the ability of both you and your husband to pay that debt.

If the home was in your parents' names, it is part of the estate. If you change the locks, you still have to preserve the house for the beneficiaries.

How can you have access to deceased parent’s medical records?

Answered by attorney Christine James
Estate Planning lawyer at James Law Group
As next of kin you should be able to go to her doctor, provide a death certificate and proof that you are her child, and they should provide them to you.
