Am I entitled to anything if Mother died during divorce?

Answered by attorney Christine James
Estate Planning lawyer at James Law Group
Did your father remarry? If not and he did not leave a will, you would be HIS heir and inherit from him. Your mother's estate is long gone if you were young when she passed and you are now 47. Speak with an attorney in the county where your father passed to see if you have any rights.

Can I get an early withdraw from my trust fund and how?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Charles Richard Perry (Unclaimed Profile)
Estate Planning lawyer at Charles R. Perry
If you currently have no right to a distribution under the terms of the trust document, then you cannot force a distribution. If you have a right to the distribution, then you should ask the trustee. If the trustee fails to do what he or she is supposed to do under the trust, you must go to court to get an order forcing the trustee to make the required distribution.

Can people threaten me about selling my house if the title deed is on my name?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Victor L. Waid (Unclaimed Profile)
Estate Planning lawyer at Law Office of Victor Waid
You are advised to seek the services of a competent lawyer to direct a letter to your former husband's children to stop threatening you, as you succeeded to the house from your former husband, and title is with you. The letter should advise them they may be on the short end of a lawsuit for harassment.
