What can I do if my girlfriend wants me to put her name on the property deed?

Answered by attorney Brian Haggerty (Unclaimed Profile)

You could marry the girl. If you like it, you should put a ring on it. Or, you can make a will making provision for her, including leaving her the house.

How can my wife and I make an estate plan that will provide for her children and my children

Answered by attorney Gregory M Lane
Estate Planning lawyer at Law Office of Gregory M. Lane
What you have on your hands is commonly termed by estate planners like me asa "blended" family with children from a prior marriage as well as possibly children from a current one.  It will takesome creative but common structuring to ensure everyone is provided for and that the current spouse/executor/trustee has an interest in ensuring that your children from the prior marriage are not disregarded.  The use of various trust structures may likely be beneficial for you to look into.  I recommend using the Find a Lawyer sextion of this website or contact your local county bar association for a referral to an estate planning attorney.

Can a bank legally cancel a power of attorney?

Answered by attorney David Goldman
Estate Planning lawyer at Law Office of David M. Goldman PLLC
It depends on the type of power of attorney. A durable power of attorney cannot be canceled by the bank and you can sue to enforce it.
