Hired Matt as my Divorce attorney. Matt is simply the best attorney to work with; very detail oriented, professional, always on top of everything and giving honest advise. My divorce was the HIGHLY (seriously mean it) contested divorce in Vermont; at times I thought any attorney would give up but Matt did not and defended almost 60+ motions for me (100% WIN RATE). I hired Matt as my divorce attorney. In one of the most difficult times of my life I found Matt to be compassionate, insightful, professional and consistent. I did not have the background to fully appreciate the strain on my family, let alone myself, as I went through the divorce process. As my emotions often took hold, Matt gently guided me back to “reality” and helped set my expectations appropriately. The court process is cold and time consuming, but can be navigated successfully with proper guidance and patience. I was timely notified of all scheduled court events, and Matt's advice was consistently solid. He was fully prepared for all court proceedings. His assistant Kim was professional and helpful throughout the process. Months later I have even greater appreciation for his expertise. Matt is great counsel.
Working with Matt is very easy. He explains things in a way that makes sense to those of us that do not work in the system on the regular. He is very straight forward and to the point. I appreciate his honesty and no BS demeanor.
Matt Buckley is easy to talk to and gives good legal advice but he is terrible at follow through and seems a bit thin skinned when confronted with his repeated screw ups. I had to contact my estranged wife to find out when court hearings would take place. Matt seems to hear only what he wants to hear and seems to miss important details. Hire another lawyer. He is terrible and having him represent you will create dangerous blood pressure problems.
MB,he's great with heroics but give it time. More than yr.playing yo-yo w/him cancelling appointments,w/lame or desperate excuses or an empty promise for next-week. X-ready to draw up final draft that favors you& MB won't get around to it?? &then w/mistakes ranging from minor to consequential. Manners range from all charm to outspokenly "annoyed", yet he keeps you hanging. Did not EVEN know that support could be established for college children, until I find out from an accountant- or did he?
he could not be bothered on christmas eve to get visitation, then he cut an agreement with the other lawyer for child custody w/o even telling us He is now just doing mediation. best to just retire
I went to Matthew upon recommention . He took a retainer of $750 and did not return my calls afterward. Finally, after many attempts to reach him . He sent me a letter wining about a fire in his business and he wasn't comfortable with my situation. If I had the energy at the time, I would have reported him to the State for unethical practice
