Hired Attorney

This man told my son to plead guilty on charges that were baloney. He said if he didn't plead guilty he ws going to jail. My son can be considered gullible, so he did what he was told beleivivg this man had his best interest t heart. He plead guilty ro a charge of contempt over a no contact order from 2019. The original charges were dismissed and my son was not charged. Apparently, no contact order was written by DHS. My son was never served any paperwork on this. How can a person be guilty of something they are not aware of? I didn't know DHS can write their own court orders. The other charge was for animal endangerment bc my sons dog looked underfed according to law enforcement. He wmingly gave his dog up bc the officer told him to. Then he was charged with animal endangerment. Why was he told he'd go to jail if he didn't comply? I don't understand the law in tenenessee. It's bizarre how things are done and it seems to me that civil rights are not respected at all.

All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.

• Distinguished: An excellent rating for a lawyer with some experience. This rating indicates the attorney is widely respected by their peers for high professional achievement and ethical standards.
