Susan M. Williams is a sole practitioner concentrating her practice in debtor representation with consumer bankruptcy law and real estate. Ms. Williams established her law firm in 1999 and maintains offices in Enfield as well as Hartford, Connecticut. She is admitted to the bars for the State of Connecticut and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the United States Supreme Court.
Ms. Williams is the recipient of the 2020 Honorable Anthony V. DeMayo Pro Bono Award, currently serves on the Pro Bono Legal Services Advisory Committee for the United States Bankruptcy Court District of Massachusetts and is a member of the Pro Bono Honor Roll for the United States Bankruptcy Court District of Massachusetts.
She earned her B.S. degree from Westfield State University and her J.D. degree from Western New England University School of Law. Ms. Williams has been a panel member presenting on consumer bankruptcy law at the Annual Conference for the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, National Business Institute, the Hartford County Bar Association, the Chapter 13 Forum for the United States Bankruptcy Court, District of Connecticut and the Connecticut Bankruptcy Roundtable. Ms. Williams recently presented at the 2019 Second Annual Connecticut Bankruptcy Conference on the topic Representing the Self-Employed Debtor Engaged in Chapter 13.
