This is attorney McCloskey and I would like to respond to some of the posts. 1. Jerry's post is a fake review. I represented two Jerry's as clients. Both very satisfied with my services. I do not wear sweats. 2. 7/19/24 Not a client. Not a hothead, in court I am professional. 3. 7/22/23 Fake review. Never have made any promises or guarantees, this is stated in the Agreement that every client signs. 4. 3/10/23 Fake. I never say "we might lose some battles, but we will win the war." 5. 7/19/22. Erin. Clients need to provide documents in a timely manner. My focus is on helping people with their legal problems. The McCloskey Law Firm offers affordable, high quality legal representation in areas of Criminal Defense, Civil Litigation, Personal Injury, Family Law, Guardianships, Adoptions, Protective Orders; Wills, Estates and Probate; Constitutional Violations, and other legal issues. I have used Mr. McCloskey twice. He was extremely organized, kept me well informed, and won both cases. The first case was for my son, who got pulled over and the police officer made up several charges. Mr. McCloskey got all of the charges dismissed. The second was my divorce. He gave me good advice and we settled for exactly what I wanted. My ex wife was actually impressed with Mr. McCloskey’s speed compared to her attorney. I would highly recommend him!
Martin is a fantastic Attorney, and I've chosen him to represent me multiple times in family court. I first contacted his cell phone on a Sunday, and he called me back within a half hour. People leaving bad reviews are more likely angry that their case was not won, and not all can be won. He's the best around and much better than others..ahem...Bilbrew...Do not let these two angry clients deter you from getting the best there is.
I hired Mr. McCloskey for a family law issue. He required that I give him 3,400 up front. I did, but regretted it. He actually laughed at my predicament, and never physically appeared in court with me. I lost the case. Most of the time, he was in his sweats. So much to point out about his incompetence, but only here to say 'he was plain worthless.'. By the way, when i asked him to account for the over 3000 dollars I gave him, he would not.
The dude is a fraud. He is not prepared, doesn't seem to know the law, a hothead to his clients instead of being aggressive in the courtroom. Should have stayed in the military because he is a disgrace to the Justice System. Don't give your money to this clown.
Nightmare of an experience hiring this attorney! Please do proper research before choosing to "work with" this law firm. Marty promises you the world during your consultation with him, but once he collects the money from you, he not only neglects his responsibilities but he speaks to you like you are trash and does not provide the excellent services he claims to. I typically don't like to leave poor reviews but this review seemed worth the effort to write as you are truly better off representing yourself versus dealing with this guy. He's very disorganized, demeaning, careless, and seems after one thing...his money. He will argue until he's blue in the face that all poor reviews about him are fake, but he is genuinely a shyster that robs people of their time and money. Please take your money to an attorney that will care! Lesson learned!
As Marty said early on he is a “no nonsense attorney”. Well in keeping with that motto, I am a no nonsense human being especially when it comes to representing a close family member. Let’s just get to the point. Things Marty has done well representing my loved one: Absolutely nothing and I mean nothing. Things Marty has failed as an attorney: Being honest and upfront – Another one of Marty’s phrases is “we might lose some battles, but we will win the war”. Seriously? This man didn’t win any battles and lost the war before it started. He will promise the moon before you give him an excessive retainer and then leave you dry. He did absolutely NOTHING but avoid phone calls. The man is unorganized, timid in the courtroom, and if anything made matters worse for his client. You are better off representing yourself than handing money over to this man.
Poor communication, lack of transparency, delays, neglect. To get a more detailed review, search on google. Took two weeks to enter case after hiring, paperwork not ready when I came in to sign at an arranged day and time, no confirmation on court hearing date, little to no communication as to what I was looking for in the case or to discuss possible scenarios or concerns, no invoices the 3 months he was my attorney, I asked him to withdraw from the case and had to go into his office to ask for an invoice.
