A native of Hampton, Tennessee, Brandon has deep roots in East Tennessee. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Legal Studies, at East Tennessee State University, where he also served as President of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. During his academic career, Brandon earned several distinctions, frequently appearing on the Dean’s List for his outstanding academic achievements.
He then pursued his Juris Doctorate at Charlotte School of Law in North Carolina, actively participating in the Rural Lawyering Capstone Project to address the legal needs of Cleveland County's citizens. While at Charlotte, Brandon interned with both the County Attorney’s Office in Gaston County, North Carolina, and the District Attorney’s Office for the First Judicial District of Tennessee. After being admitted to the bar in 2016, Brandon launched his legal career in Greeneville, Tennessee, initially as a solo practitioner. In 2018, he co-founded Foster and Potter, P.C. with Robert Foster, and the firm later evolved into Baker Foster Potter, P.C. upon Chase Baker's arrival in 2020. Brandon has been recognized by The National Trial Lawyers as one of the Top 40 Under 40 for his exceptional legal contributions.
