Molly McKibben's unwavering dedication to seeking justice and ensuring public safety defines her impactful trial practice. Focusing on catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, and products liability cases on behalf of consumers, she has achieved exceptional results and championed numerous successful litigations.
In recognition of her outstanding achievements, Molly was honored as the Consumer Attorney of the Year in 2016 by the Consumer Attorneys of California, alongside three esteemed colleagues, for their pivotal role in securing a groundbreaking $55,000,000 verdict in the Erin Andrews v. Marriott case in Nashville, Tennessee. This landmark verdict led to significant changes in hotel procedures across the country, emphasizing the safety, security, and privacy of hotel guests, including those in California.
Molly's notable achievements include securing a $1,150,000 verdict with her colleague Alan Van Gelder for a client who required spinal surgery after a limo driver's negligent actions during rush hour traffic. Additionally, she obtained a confidential seven-figure settlement with a trucking company following a client's traumatic brain injury resulting from a rear-end collision. Another successful case involved securing a $3,750,000 settlement on behalf of a grandmother who sustained a serious traumatic brain injury in a car collision while driving with her young grandson.
A graduate of the Consumer Attorneys of California Leadership Academy, Molly actively serves on the boards of both the Consumer Attorneys of California and the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles. She passionately mentors law students through Pepperdine University School of Law's Preceptor Program and actively contributes to the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles' golf club, as well as serving as a volunteer attorney with WLALA's Domestic Violence Project.
Molly's legal expertise and contributions have been recognized by numerous prestigious accolades. She has consistently been named among the "Top 100 Up and Coming" attorneys and the "Top 50 Up and Coming Women" by Southern California Rising Stars from 2016 to 2023. Furthermore, Molly has been recognized as a "Top Plaintiff Lawyer in CA 2022," featured in The Best Lawyers in America©: Ones to Watch from 2021 to 2023, and honored as a Daily Journal "Top 40 Under 40" in 2020.
Apart from her legal achievements, Molly is a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, the Consumer Attorneys of California, the American Association for Justice, and the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles. She is admitted to practice in California state courts as well as federal district courts in the Central District of California.
Molly's academic journey commenced at the University of Southern California, where she earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Print Journalism and Italian. Subsequently, she pursued her Juris Doctorate and a Certificate in Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law, where she gained invaluable experiences as an intern at an international dispute resolution organization in London, served as an editor on the Pepperdine Law Review, and worked as a law clerk at the Union Rescue Mission Legal Aid Clinic. Additionally, she worked as an extern for the late Honorable Arthur Alarcón, Senior Judge for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, handling diverse cases ranging from contract interpretation to foreign sovereign immunity.
