About Robert Duke Bas

I am a former criminal prosecutor who aggressively handles jury and bench trials in front of various judges.  We are a full service criminal defense law firm - consisting of handling successful and rigorous defense of high-profile drug offenses, murder charges, violent crimes, sex crimes, white collar crimes; misdemeanor - including DUI and drug-related offenses.   I obtained a not guilty jury verdict in trial in Madison County, IL in a first-degree murder charge. I also recently presented the target witness before a Granid Jury in a murder investigation, in which a finding of NO TRUE BILL was returned against him, resulting in no first-degree murder charges brought against my client.   I have successfully prepared and argued appeals before the Illinois Appellate Court and Illinois Supreme Court.   I am licensed in Illinois and I serve the Metro-East, including Madison, St. Clair, Monroe, Clinton, Jersey, Macoupin, Greene, Effingham, Fayette, and Bond Counties.

Mr. Bas helped me and my family immensely! He got charged against my nephew dropped in a tough county - Clinton!!; he kept me out of prison in both Clinton and St. Clair County; and took care of my mother's case when my baby-sister was killed in a car crash. He even came to the funeral! My family trusts him, and Mr. Bas does an excellent job for us. He is worth the cost!

Mr. Bas worked hard for me and got me the result I was looking for. My uncle used Rob on his own felony (that he got thrown out) and so he came highly recommended. He always kept me informed, subpoenaed information from the police department that arrested me that the State was either too lazy or unwilling to provide, discovered holes in the State's case. As a result, he got my felony dismissed! I highly recommend Robert Bas! He is aggressive, diligent, and will go the distance for you!

I was charged with a felony and misdemeanor. I have a CDL and was only passing through the County. The first lawyer, failed to file anything to get rid of my suspension. When Mr. Bas took over, he said from the start, that the case will have to go to trial, but we would win. I wasn't sure about it. After a full-day trial, the Judge found me not guilty. Mr. Bas did a great job with the witnesses and made me feel comfortable when i testified. i can't thank you enough for saving my freedom!

He is the absolute worst lawyer you will ever find. He will lose you everything and every case. He will give the other lawyer everything meanwhile he will get you nothing. He is always late and always reschedules court and charges you for that. Calls and emails you a lot and charges for that as well. He does fine against someone without a lawyer, but as soon as he sees another lawyer he turns tail, rolls over and just submits to their every demand. If you like to lose then he is the man for you.
