Prior to joining Maples Law Firm, Nicole was an Associate with The Cheek Law Firm. In that position, she used her expertise to represent both Plaintiffs and Defendants in employment matters as well as insurance law. Until 2006, Nicole was an associate with the law firm of Hammons Gowens, one of the premier Plaintiff's employment law firms in Oklahoma. She spent more than five years specializing in Plaintiff's employment law, including Age, Gender, Racial and Religious discrimination as well as many FMLA and ADA cases. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Nicole graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 1996 with a degree in Political Science. She received her Juris Doctor from the Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1999. While in Law School, Nicole interned with Legal Aid of Western Oklahoma as well as the Oklahoma District Attorneys Council. She also worked as an editor for the OSCN.net project run by the Oklahoma Supreme Court. Immediately after law school, while working for the Oklahoma City firm of Phillips, McFall, McVay, McCaffrey Murrah, Nicole focused on the products liability cases dealing with Phen-Fen diet drug. She has also been an instructor teaching substantive law courses for paralegal programs. Nicole is licensed to practice before the Supreme Court of Okahoma, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver, Colorado, the Western District Court of Oklahoma, the Eastern District Court of Oklahoma, the Northern District Court of Oklahoma, the US Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Oklahoma and the US District Court for the Western District of Texas.
