Stephens brother Sandy was a wonderful considerate attorney but when he passed away and his brother got his clients, I was treated as fast as possible to get me out of his way and he charged me 1000s of dollars more then his brother sandy quoted me
Everyone shares one email address that caused lots of communication problem. Never disclosed the billing details or periodic statements, but the one final large bill with obvious billing overages. Lack of knowledge in family law field. Irresponsible and careless in handling of my case. Not worth of the money and time.
Failed to respond to request for appointment to discuss case. Failed to provide detailed accounting of where retainer was used and how much. Has not responded to requirements laid out by Qdro even after 3 authorizations from me. Completely disgusted with the way my issue has been handled. Simple qdro yet dragging it out.
A total waste of time, effort and energy. Selects cases based on monetary compensation rather than the human element. To him if doesn't make dollars then it doesn't make cents and you are shown the door POST HASTE.
he is a rude man who talks down to you, he knew nothing about our case and insisted on having his money in cash. never gave us an itemized bill on how he spent our money, just over all worst experience i ever had dealing with a lawyer
