In 2019, my world was turned upside down when my father, a respected attorney in New Jersey for nearly 40 years, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness. He was a man who dedicated his life to helping others, practicing personal injury law with a commitment to ensuring that those who were injured received the justice they deserved. He was nearing retirement but still had active cases, loyal clients, and a reputation built on trust and diligence. People relied on him, and they knew he would fight for them.
But when he passed, there was no succession plan for his practice. His filing system was a relic of another era, and he had very little support staff to carry on the work he had meticulously handled himself. His clients, many of whom were in the midst of their own battles, were left in a state of uncertainty. They were scared, confused, and anxious about what would happen to their cases, their lives hanging in the balance.
Usually, in situations like this, where an attorney dies without appointing a trustee to manage the affairs of their firm, the court steps in, appointing someone to sort through the chaos. But I couldn’t let that happen—not to my father’s legacy, not to the clients who had put their trust in him. Despite having my own professional responsibilities, I knew I had to step into his shoes, to ensure that nothing fell through the cracks.
It was an immense responsibility. I had no prior experience in personal injury law, so I had to learn quickly—studying this particular area of law, deciphering his antiquated filing system, and navigating the complexities of running a law firm. There were moments of frustration where I questioned whether I could really do this, whether I could honor my father’s legacy while still managing my own life.
But I wasn’t alone. My father had built strong professional relationships over the years, and one of his close colleagues, a seasoned personal injury attorney, became my mentor. He guided me through some of the toughest challenges, offering advice and reassurance when I needed it most. Together, we worked to ensure that the clients received the attention and care they deserved, that their cases were properly handled, and that funds in the trust account were disbursed correctly.
It was a journey filled with highs and lows. There were days when the stress was overwhelming, when the sheer volume of work seemed insurmountable. But there were also moments of deep satisfaction, knowing that I was making a difference—not just for my father’s clients, but for my mother, who did not have to worry about hiring someone to manage the firm’s affairs. Over the course of 18 months, I was able to bring order to the chaos, to provide the stability that everyone involved so desperately needed.
This experience, while challenging, was also incredibly rewarding. It taught me the value of perseverance, of stepping up when it matters most. And it gave me a deep empathy for those who find themselves in situations where they don’t know where to turn, who feel overwhelmed by the complexities of their circumstances. I know what it’s like to face uncertainty, to carry the burden of responsibility, and to find a way through to the other side.

As the son of an attorney, I developed a deep understanding and passion for the law from an early age. I graduated from Rutgers Law School and now proudly serve clients in the Garden State. In my personal life, I’m devoted to my family - my wife, two daughters and son. I apply the same dedication to the clients I represent.
